About the Role
On behalf of our client, we are looking for an Engineering Project Manager to join them on a 12-month contract. This role offers the chance to support a diverse and ageing in-service aircraft fleet, delivering a varied portfolio of projects that drive innovative customer support solutions. You will work closely with international teams and cross‑functional stakeholders to ensure each project is delivered on time, within budget, and aligned with programme priorities.
Role: Engineering Project Manager
Pay: £40 per hour via Umbrella
Contract: Monday to Friday, 35 Hours a week, 12 months contract

Responsibilities
- Ability to manage UK work packages end‑to‑end (initiation to closure) while meeting agreed time, cost, and quality targets.
- Strong competence with classical project management tools and methods, working with high autonomy and energy.
- Proven capability to integrate and coordinate across multiple functions (Programme, Engineering, Design Office, Airworthiness, Procurement, Customer Services).
- Experience managing partners and subcontractors, including contracts, tenders, work allocation, deliverables, and quality oversight.
- Skilled in project cost management: creating budgets, managing forecasts, tracking bookings, and delivering AOP objectives for ATA28, ATA32, and ATA57.
- Confident in presenting to stakeholders, including within A300/A310 programme review forums.
- Strong facilitation, communication, and cross‑functional coordination skills to maintain effective programme communication.
- Ability to provide proactive progress reporting and resolve/escalate issues effectively across multi‑disciplinary teams.
Essential Skills and Experience
- Proven experience in projects/programme management.
- Experience in the area of Fuel Systems and Wing Structure is preferred.
- Strong communication skills, people management, reporting, problem solving & analytical thinking are essential.
- Good technical knowledge is not necessary but could be an advantage.
- Self‑motivated with the ability to act independently and with energy.
- A good understanding of budget control.
- Experience at delivering to time, cost and quality.
- Knowledge of configuration management, its tools and processes.
- Proven ability to manage suppliers, partners and subcontractors.
- Airbus Bronze Project Management accreditation or equivalent is desirable.
- Experience of managing projects through the full project ‘lifecycle’.
- Strong team player.
- Ability to work in a transnationally managed environment.
- Ability to influence and lead multi‑functional teams.
- Experience in facilitating, coordinating and directing meetings.
