Overview

Engineering Manager (Capital Projects)

Bristol Or Leeds

£50,000 to £60,000 + Benefits Package

Engineering Manager required by a rapidly expanding business opening a brand new manufacturing site.

The role will suit experienced Managers who have experience of taking a manufacturing facility from planning through to an operational plant.

The role will initially involve the preparation, setup, test and delivery of the site requirements. You will then work with the Director team and stakeholders internally and various external contractors to deliver a fully functioning manufacturing facility. You will take full responsibility for all construction responsibilities from supplier selection and procurement decisions through to the completion of the build.

The Engineering Manager Role

• To assist the Chief Engineer with the procurement and execution of new build plant projects and existing plant improvement projects.
• The focus is on effective delivery of an established and successful modular process concept.
• Assist Operational Team with Excellence Initiatives (Process Optimisation, Maintenance and Repair Strategies, Spare Parts Strategies).
• Assist Operational Team with Engineering Compliance Matters (Pressure Systems Regulations, High Voltage Maintenance, Structural Survey)

The Engineering Manager

• HNC, Degree or equivalent qualification and experience in relevant Engineering discipline.
• Proven and extensive engineering or project experience in bulk materials processing/handling environment.
• Familiarity with a variety of contract forms such as MF1, MF2, JCTMW (or similar) etc.
• Basic knowledge of various engineering disciplines i.e. mechanical, electrical, control, civil & structural.
