About the Role

As the Engineering Manager, you will oversee power engineering operations across Essex and surrounding areas, ensuring the highest levels of safety, equipment availability, and technical performance.

A typical day will involve:

• Leading engineering standards across multiple depots and supporting local workshop teams
• Driving a structured repair and maintenance programme for generators and clean‑energy battery units

Implementing reliability improvements, service schedules, and compliance processes

Managing parts control, warranty recovery, and repair tracking processes

Developing KPIs and performance dashboards to enhance operational excellence

Leading investigations into asset failures and working with suppliers on technical resolutions

Supporting apprenticeships, training, and technical upskilling across the fleet

Ensuring full compliance with Health & Safety and statutory requirements

Collaborating with regional teams to optimise resource allocation and customer support
