Job Summary:

An engineer and graphic design associate is responsible for creating art work that will presented to the customer for their approval for the illustrations of school logo, names, design, etc. that will be displayed on the items that they, the customers, are ordering from Fisher Athletic. The engineer is expected to have the knowledge of basic graphic design programs and software including, but not limited to, CorelDraw, and Adobe Illustrator. Associate will communicate with the cutting and printing department frequently to ensure everything is as it should be before getting sent to production, (ex. print colors, size of design, placement of design, etc.). Associates will also communicate with the customer service department to keep the line of communication with the customers open and keep them informed of their custom orders. A successful engineer and graphic design associate must be dependable, with excellent attendance records, responsible, detail oriented, thorough, and takes pride in their work and contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

Responsibilities/Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Lead development of new products while also improving existing products-determine needed materials, production methods, processes, and procedures, in order to provide on-time delivery for our customers
  • Provide technical assistance during the manufacturing process
  • Create manufacturing drawings/blueprints for manufacturing – approving all drawings/blueprints according the customer requests or specifications
  • Collaborate with other departments and customers to ensure product quality and precision
  • Help with developing new products
  • Knowledge of products must remain up-to-date and current
  • Create, edit and update Production Orders within an ERP environment (VISUAL).

Requirements:

  • Experience using Coreldraw or Adobe Illustrator required.
  • Proven experience using Office-i.e Outlook, Excel, Word, etc.
  • Strong technical background and proven track record of inventive problem-solving techniques
  • Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Must be detail-oriented and have the ability to multi-task
  • Must be willing to work in a team environment and have an excellent work ethic
  • Some previous experience with ERP and/or SAP systems
