A recruitment agency is seeking an Engineering Supervisor in Corby, UK, to oversee on-site engineering maintenance. The role involves managing a team, ensuring safety compliance, and improving operational efficiency. The ideal candidate will have NVQ Level 3 in electrical maintenance, strong fault diagnosis skills, and significant experience in a similar role. This position offers a competitive salary of £45k to £50k, with benefits such as pension contributions and overtime pay.
To monitor and inspect the condition of production equipment, the site facilities and carryout maintenance and repairs as necessary, to ensure safety and maximise uptime performance.
Provide the on-site engineering maintenance cover required to meet the needs of an expending business. A time-served multi-skilled engineer able to work with electrical control systems to fault finding level as well as carry out mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic fault finding and repairs to a range of foam conversion equipment. Strong oral and written communication, analytical and problem-solving skills essential as well as a broad knowledge of all aspects of engineering and site facilities. Must be self-motivated, have excellent judgment and be able to multitask under pressure. Be able to control outside contractors, issuing permits, ensuring all correct paperwork has been submitted. Knowledge of process safety and implementing procedures.
As an Engineering Supervisor, you will lead a dedicated team of engineers, overseeing daily operations and small projects. You will be responsible for managing workloads, providing technical guidance and mentorship, and ensuring team performance aligns with company goals.
Training can be given to the right candidate. Ensure statutory records for equipment are maintained on time. Create and keep updated maintenance work lists and proactively report to management. Lead a small team of engineers by assigning daily workloads, ensuring completion deadlines. Provide continuous coaching to develop each team member's needs and progression. Conduct regular reviews setting clear objectives. Ensure all works comply with company policies and procedures.
Standard working days are Monday to Friday. Flexibility is required to accommodate operational needs, including occasional extended hours, weekend coverage, and on-call duties as necessary. Salary £45 to £50k. Company pension scheme, contributions matched up to 7%.
Overtime paid at time and a half; Sundays and bank holidays paid at double time.
Any callouts will be paid at £77 per callout.
