A leading metal recycling company in Barnsley is seeking an experienced Engineering and Maintenance Manager to oversee their Engineering and Maintenance team. The role involves ensuring plant and equipment are maintained effectively to meet operational objectives. Candidates should have a relevant engineering qualification and extensive experience in mechanical and electrical maintenance systems.

Qualifications

• Minimum HNC or HND - Bachelor's or higher degree in mechanical or electrical engineering preferable.
• NEBOSH General Certificate or similar is preferable.
• Extensive experience of mechanical and electrical maintenance systems.

Responsibilities

• Play an integral role in the running of the site's Engineering and Maintenance team.
• Ensure the plant and equipment is maintained to achieve the site’s operational objectives.

A Little Bit About You

 We are looking go experienced Engineering and Maintenance Managers looking for a move into the exciting and challenging world of the scrap metal recycling industry. Working in our Barnsley site, you will be play an integral role in the running of the site's Engineering and Maintenance team to ensure tha the plant and equipment is maintained to achieve the site’s operational objectives.

Your Qualifications

• Min HNC or HND -Bachelor or higher degree in mechanical or electrical engineering preferable
• NEBOSH General Certificate or similar is preferable
• IT literate, specifically with Microsoft Office
• Extensive experience of mechanical and electrical maintenance systems
• Extensive experience of preventative, predictive and proactive maintenance techniques
• Exceptional organisational skills
• High level of attention to detail and accuracy
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Able to interpret and analyse complex documents e.g. electrical schematics
• Strong numeracy skills
