Description of role

TWI is a world‑renowned centre of excellence in engineering, training and certification. We are seeking an engineer to join our Fatigue and Fracture Integrity Management section. The primary responsibilities include fatigue and fracture design and consultancy services and organising mechanical testing of materials (tensile, fatigue, fracture, crack growth, creep, etc.) using standardised and bespoke methodologies in air and aggressive environments. The data derived from these programmes help make integrity management decisions for clients through fitness‑for‑service and risk‑based assessment approaches.

Responsibilities

• Lead and contribute to mechanical testing and structural integrity assessment projects.
• Prepare commercial proposals (beneficial but not essential).
• Travel regularly in the UK and abroad as required.
