A local charity organization is seeking an Engagement Officer who is a Romani speaker to support vulnerable women in West Midlands. The candidate will be involved in outreach and support efforts focused on Roma women and victims of trafficking. This part-time position (16 hours/week) offers £12,948.48 pro rata with a closing date of 3 October 2025.
Black Country Women's Aid (BCWA) is an established charity working across the Black Country and wider West Midlands, providing accommodation and community support services to victims of domestic abuse, sexual abuse and human trafficking. Services include advocacy, civil remedies, support in court, individual and group support, and access to a range of therapeutic interventions. All services are client- and needs-led. The Centre for the Analysis of Exploitation (CeAnEx) works with BCWA to identify and support women who are sexually exploited in the West Midlands, using on-the-ground community work, open source intelligence, and traditional academic research methods. The team collaborates with law enforcement and partner agencies while pursuing new perspectives on human trafficking and sexual exploitation in the UK and beyond.

Salary: £12,948.48 pro rata (£30,348.00 FTE)

Is this you? We are looking for a candidate who can speak English and Romani. The ability to speak Romanian is also beneficial.
Experience: Experience of working with vulnerable people is an advantage.
