Our public sector client are looking for an Enforcement Team Leader to join them.

Location - Coalville

Overview

They are seeking an experienced and knowledgeable professional to lead our Planning Enforcement Team. You will oversee and support the investigation of planning breaches, monitor compliance with planning conditions, and take appropriate enforcement action. This role requires both operational expertise and strong leadership skills.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage day-to-day operations of the planning enforcement team
  • Undertake site inspections, investigations, and enforcement action in response to planning breaches
  • Monitor planning conditions and Section 106 compliance
  • Prepare clear and accurate enforcement reports and draft legal notices
  • Represent the Council at planning appeals, inquiries, and in court
  • Provide expert advice on enforcement matters to officers, managers, and stakeholders
  • Respond to service requests efficiently and professionally
  • Collaborate with colleagues across the Environmental Protection Team
Knowledge, Skills & Experience
  • Strong knowledge of planning enforcement legislation and relevant good practice guidance
  • Proven experience implementing and enforcing planning or related legislation
  • Demonstrated ability to carry out site inspections, lead investigations, and take enforcement action
  • Excellent report writing and case documentation skills
