Qualifications

  • Strong knowledge of energy efficiency technologies and HVAC systems required.
  • Familiarity with ESOS, SECR compliance frameworks and carbon reporting.
  • Degree in Energy Engineering, Environmental Science or similar is essential.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct energy audits and carbon footprint analysis.
  • Prepare energy efficiency reports including ROI analysis.
  • Advise clients on UK energy legislation compliance.

Skills

We are looking for an experienced and forward-thinking Energy Efficiency Consultant to support the commercial, industrial, and public sector clients in reducing energy consumption and achieving sustainability goals. You will lead energy audits, develop decarbonization strategies, and help clients. Transition to net-zero through innovative energy-saving technologies and renewable integration .

Job Responsibilities
  • Conduct energy audits, site assessments, and carbon footprint analysis
  • Identify and recommend energy-saving measures and technology upgrades
  • Prepare energy efficiency reports with ROI, payback periods, and cost-benefit analysis
  • Advise on compliance with UK energy legislation, SECR, ESOS, and ISO 50001
  • Collaborate with clients to create net-zero roadmaps and sustainability strategies
  • Model building performance using tools such as IES VE, DesignBuilder, or EnergyPlus
  • Support the integration of renewable energy systems (e.g., solar PV, heat pumps)
  • Assist with funding applications and incentive programs (e.g., SALIX, CIBSE)
Required Skills
  • Strong knowledge of energy efficiency technologies, HVAC systems, and building services
  • Familiarity with compliance frameworks (ESOS, SECR, TM44, EPC)
  • Excellent reporting and client communication skills
  • Proficiency in energy modelling software (e.g., IES, TAS, or similar)
  • Understanding of carbon reporting, net-zero strategies, and sustainability metrics
Desired Skills
  • Degree in Energy Engineering, Environmental Science, Mechanical Engineering, or similar
  • CIBSE membership or working towards chartership
  • Experience in public sector projects and government reporting schemesProject management skills and experience leading multi-site audits
