The Opportunity

As UK Employment Tax Manager, you will be a key figure in delivering complex employment tax consulting and compliance projects, while acting as a trusted advisor to a diverse client portfolio. You\'ll have the opportunity to lead engagements, support business development initiatives, and play a vital role in developing the next generation of tax professionals.

Key Responsibilities

• Act as the primary point of contact for clients, providing employment tax advisory and compliance expertise.
• Manage the day-to-day delivery of engagements, ensuring deadlines and quality standards are met.
• Identify and progress opportunities for additional services, supporting business growth.
• Mentor, train, and coach junior colleagues, fostering a supportive and development-focused culture.
• Oversee engagement finances and scope management to ensure efficiency and profitability.
• Stay ahead of employment tax developments, proactively shaping solutions for clients.

Candidate Profile

• Strong technical expertise in UK employment tax compliance and advisory, including PAYE, NIC, benefits in kind, CIS, termination payments, PAYE reviews, and HMRC checks.
• Demonstrable experience advising clients on IR35 and managing compliance risk.
• Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities across multiple clients.
• Proven experience mentoring and developing junior team members.
• ATT and/or CTA qualified (or equivalent).
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills, with commercial awareness and the ability to identify new opportunities.
