Job description

Employment Solicitor, 4+ Years PQE, Birmingham, £60,000 - £75,000 (DOE) – My client is currently looking for a confident and experienced Employment Solicitor to join their dynamic and forward-thinking team. JOB REF:9503.


THE ROLE:
  1. You’ll be involved in a broad range of employment law matters, with the opportunity to handle both contentious and non-contentious work.
  2. This includes tribunal litigation, TUPE advice, due diligence, contractual reviews, and advisory work on restructures, redundancies, and employee relations issues.
  3. You will play a key role in managing client relationships, supervising junior lawyers, and supporting business development initiatives.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  1. Managing complex and high-profile litigation, including advocacy
  2. Advising on TUPE matters, including drafting/negotiating warranties, indemnities, and consultation processes
  3. Supporting transactional due diligence as part of multidisciplinary teams
  4. Advising on redundancy and restructure processes
  5. Handling day-to-day advisory work including contracts, policies, and settlement agreements
  6. Delivering client training and contributing to seminars and business development
  7. Supervising and mentoring junior team members

SKILLS REQUIRED:
  1. Qualified Solicitor with 4+ years' PQE
  2. Broad and robust employment law experience, preferably across our key sectors
  3. Strong litigation and/or advocacy skills, with a calm, confident approach
  4. Commercial awareness and the ability to give pragmatic, client-focused advice
  5. A collaborative mindset with excellent communication and relationship-building skills
  6. A proactive, organised approach to workload and team involvement
  7. Passion for mentoring and business development
