Location: Liverpool City Centre (Hybrid: 3 days office-based, 2 days remote)

About the Role:

My client, a respected top 200 leading UK and forward-thinking legal practice based in the heart of Liverpool Centre, is currently seeking a passionate and commercially aware Employment Solicitor to join their growing team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a solicitor with 1–2 years' post-qualification experience (PQE) looking to take the next step in their legal career within a supportive, dynamic, and client-focused environment.

You’ll work closely with experienced lawyers and have exposure to a varied caseload, including both contentious and non-contentious matters, while benefiting from flexible hybrid working arrangements.

Responsibilities:

  • Managing your own caseload of employment law matters from instruction to resolution
  • Advising clients (both employers and employees) on disciplinary issues, grievances, redundancy, contracts, settlement agreements, and more
  • Drafting and reviewing employment contracts, staff handbooks, and policies
  • Representing clients in Employment Tribunal proceedings where necessary
  • Delivering commercially practical legal advice tailored to client needs
  • Staying current with employment legislation and developments

What We’re Looking For:

  • Qualified Solicitor or Chartered legal Exec with 1–2 years of PQE in employment law
  • Strong communication and client care skills
  • Confident working independently and collaboratively as part of a team
  • Detail-oriented, organised, and commercially astute
  • Enthusiastic about delivering high-quality legal advice in a professional yet personable manner
