Job summary

A leading healthcare provider in Trowbridge seeks a registered paramedic to provide face-to-face and telephone consultations, including home visits for housebound patients. Job description

Thisrole encompasses both face to face and telephone on the day appointments, alongsidehome visits for patients who are housebound and unable to visit thesurgery. The post holder will makedecisions and apply appropriate clinical interventions to the presentingpatient in the surgery or their own home.This included initial history taking, clinical assessment, diagnosis,treatment and evaluation of care.

Thepost holder will work autonomously, within the Practices policies, protocolsand guidelines and to demonstrate safe clinical decision making. The post holder will have access to the dutyteam at all times, during both clinics and home visits for advice and support.

The role is for 37.5 hours a week (Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday) with at least one evening Extended Access session per week.

Main duties of the job

Make direct referrals to primary, secondary and social serviceswithin locally agreed pathways, guidance and protocols.

Support and continue the development of an on the day emergencypatient service in the Practice.

Work as part of the ECP team, sharing best practice.

Be a part of the practices response to emergency clinical situationswithin the practice.

Work as part of an MDT across the practice.

Promote health and well-being through the use of health promotionand health education.

Where the post holder is an independent prescriber: to prescribesafe, effective and appropriate medication as defined by current legislativeframework

Ensure all mandatory training is completed, alongside relevant CPDfor the role, including keeping up to date with any changes.
