EMEA Accountant

We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented EMEA Accountant to support our Finance operations across the region. Reporting to the Regional Finance Director, you will play a key role in ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant financial reporting. Success in this role requires a hands-on approach, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to operate effectively in a dynamic, international environment.

Responsibilities
  • Daily Finance Operations: Manage and reconcile bank accounts across the EMEA region; ensure timely and accurate data entry in SAP and maintain the general ledger; oversee accounts payable (supplier management, payment processing, and vendor queries); prepare and post journal entries for accruals, prepayments, depreciation, and VAT; respond to audit requests and ensure relevant documentation is prepared and available; monitor and manage the accounting inbox to ensure timely resolution of queries; oversee expense note processing for regional employees, ensuring compliance with policy.
Month-End and Year-End Closing
  • Contribute to the month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring deadlines and quality standards are met.
  • Assist in preparing reconciliations, reports, and supporting documentation.
  • Collaborate with external auditors during the annual audit, including preparation of audit schedules and provision of requested data.
Internal Controls & Compliance
  • Maintain accounting records in accordance with GAAP and IFRS.
  • Support the development, implementation, and enforcement of accounting policies and internal controls.
  • Continuously improve financial procedures to ensure efficiency, accuracy, and compliance.
Skills & Requirements
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial documentation.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with fluency in English.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a collaborative, team-oriented mindset.
  • Solid knowledge of GAAP and IFRS.
  • Proven ability to work effectively in a multicultural and geographically distributed team.
  • Prior 1-3 years experience in a finance role within a high-growth, international company — ideally in the technology or consulting sectors.
  • Proficiency in SAP and readiness to adopt and learn new technologies.

Salary Range: £30,000 - £35,000
