A leading defence organisation is seeking a skilled Verification and Validation (V&V) Test Engineer in Bristol. The role involves qualifying components of sophisticated defence systems and requires strong experience in V&V activities within an embedded software environment. This position offers a hybrid work model, competitive salary, and benefits including a company bonus and enhanced parental leave.
We have a great opportunity for a skilled and adaptable Verification and Validation (V&V) Test Engineer to join our Real-Time Embedded software department!
Salary: Circa £64,000 depending on experience
Dynamic (hybrid) working: typically, 4 days per week on-site, due to workload classification
Security Clearance: British Citizen or a Dual UK national with British citizenship
Restrictions and/or limitations relating to nationality and/or rights to work may apply. As a minimum and after offer stage, all successful candidates will need to undergo HMG Basic Personnel Security Standard checks (BPSS), which are managed by the MBDA Personnel Security Team.
Spanning a diverse portfolio of work packages, you will be working with teams of enthusiastic, dedicated engineers to qualify components of some of the world’s most sophisticated defence systems!
If you have experience of verification and validation in an advanced technological environment, ideally with a background in embedded software development, then we would like to talk to you.
The role requires taking requirements, developing them into robust test cases, preparing and executing tests, capturing data, and delivering actionable feedback to project teams.
You will have to draw upon your strong practical problem‑solving skills, data acquisition expertise, and adaptability.
