A consulting firm in aerospace is looking for an experienced Embedded Software Engineer to support a significant ongoing project. This role involves key activities related to DO-178C compliance, including tool qualification and software reviews. A strong background in embedded C development is vital, as well as experience with safety-critical systems documentation. This is a 6-month contract, potentially extendable, with remote work options. We’re excited to be supporting an ongoing aerospace programme with one of CMC’s long‑standing clients, and we’re now looking for an experienced Embedded Software Engineer with DO‑178 experience to join their team. The project is well established and currently approaching Critical Design Review, with additional support required to maintain delivery momentum.
This role will support the development of an aircraft console system, with a focus on DO‑178C compliance activities, including tool qualification, software reviews, and supporting documentation. There may also be the opportunity to contribute to module specifications and embedded C development, depending on experience.
This is a 6-month contract starting ASAP in 2026, with a strong likelihood of extension. The role is inside IR35 and can be worked on the remote basis.
