Qualifications

  • Proven experience in electronics manufacturing, including SMT and Conventional processes.
  • IPC-A-610 & J-STD-001 certification (advantageous).
  • Strong leadership, fault-finding, and component identification skills.

Manufacturing Team Leader – Electronics

Worthing, West Sussex

Salary: £35,000-£40,000

Full‑time, Permanent

A well‑established electronics manufacturer in Worthing is seeking a hands‑on Manufacturing Team Leader to oversee SMT and Conventional production processes. This leadership role is pivotal in ensuring high‑quality output, timely delivery and a culture of continuous improvement across sectors including medical, defence and aviation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and motivate production teams to meet daily targets and uphold quality standards.
  • Allocate tasks, monitor progress, and drive operational efficiency.
  • Ensure compliance with IPC JSTD‑001 and IPC‑A‑610 standards.
  • Champion preventative maintenance and production readiness.
  • Collaborate with Quality and Engineering teams to resolve issues and improve yields.
  • Drive process improvements and uphold ESD and EPA protocols.
  • Coordinate resources with Production Control and report on performance metrics.
  • Maintain Health & Safety compliance and support audit readiness.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in electronics manufacturing, including SMT and Conventional processes.
  • IPC‑A‑610 & J‑STD‑001 certification (advantageous).
  • Strong leadership, fault‑finding, and component identification skills.
  • Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems and lean manufacturing tools (5S, Kaizen, RCCA).
