About the Role

A leading defence technology organisation is seeking an experienced Electronics Design Engineer to join their Analogue and Digital Capability Group. This role involves hands‑on design and development of high‑integrity electronic systems used in mission‑critical applications.

You will be involved in the full lifecycle of electronic design, from concept and prototyping through to production and validation, contributing to the development of advanced products used in national defence.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop analogue and digital electronic circuits for high‑performance systems.
  • Create schematics and multilayer PCB layouts using industry‑standard tools.
  • Conduct functional testing, fault finding, and component selection.
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional engineering teams to ensure seamless integration.
  • Apply EMC reduction techniques and support compliance testing.
  • Contribute to DFMEA, simulation, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Candidate Requirements
  • Experience in electronic design (analogue / digital), PCB layout, and testing.
  • Familiarity with tools such as Altium Designer, eCADSTAR, or Mentor Graphics.
  • Understanding of EMC, ESD, and environmental compliance standards.
  • Strong problem‑solving skills and ability to work across disciplines.
  • Degree in Electronic Engineering or equivalent (BEng, HND, etc.).
  • Eligible for UK Security Clearance (British Citizen or Dual UK National).
