The ideal candidate will have 5 to 10 years of hands-on experience in electronics assembly and testing. Electronic Technician – Space Hardware

Glasgow, UK | Full-time | On-site

We’re working with a fast‑growing, international space technology company building high‑performance electronic systems for satellites used around the world. We’re looking for a Senior Electronics Technician to take a hands‑on lead role assembling, integrating, and testing advanced electronics that will fly in space.

If you’re an experienced electronics technician who's worked on advanced electronic systems, this is a great opportunity if you'd like to transition into the space industry.

🔧 elo you’ll be doing
  • Hand‑soldering and assembling high‑reliability PCBAs (fine‑pitch SMT, microscope work)
  • Building complex wiring harnesses and electro‑mechanical assemblies
  • Integrating and testing electronic systems end‑to‑end
  • Troubleshooting at component and system level
  • Working closely with engineers on cutting‑edge space hardware
  • Maintaining production and test documentation to high quality standards
  • Supporting lab equipment, inventory, and Vern, continuous improvement
🧠 What we’re looking for
  • HNC/HND (or equivalent) in Electronics or similar
  • 5–10+ years hands‑on electronics assembly, test, and fault‑finding experience
  • Strong soldering skills (SMT & through‑hole)
  • Experience with embedded electronics and production test environments
  • Comfortable working to detailed drawings, procedures, and quality standards
  • Space experience not required – training provided
⭐ Bonus (not essential)
  • IPC Class 3
  • Cleanroom or high‑reliability manufacturing experience
