Standard Work Hours
2nd Shift: Monday–Thursday, 3:00 PM – 1:00 AM

Responsibilities

  • Design minor electrical circuits and test/troubleshoot electrical, PLC, and electronic circuits used in machine and equipment control

  • Troubleshoot hydraulic and pneumatic circuits

  • Install electrical and electronic controls by reading and interpreting schematics or blueprints

  • Possess knowledge of electrical power and water distribution systems

  • Perform basic mechanical repairs

  • Carry out tasks typically performed by lower-level classifications when required

  • Provide direction to team members in lower classifications as needed

  • Dismantle electrical machinery and replace defective electrical or mechanical parts such as brushes and armatures

  • Install and monitor electrical equipment performance, identifying hazards, adjustments, or necessary replacements

  • Interpret blueprints, and work from sketches or verbal instructions

  • Layout, assemble, install, test, repair, and adjust electrical fixtures, equipment, wiring, and services including panels, breakers, and conduit

  • Mount motors, transformers, and lighting fixtures and complete circuits per diagram specifications

  • Repair, install, replace, and test electrical circuits and equipment using appropriate tools and testing instruments

  • Perform various tasks as directed by the Group Leader

Qualifications

  • Two-year Associate degree and 2–4 years of relevant work experience

  • Proficiency in using a computer to search for parts and enter information into a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS)

Position Requirements

  • Ability to stand for extended periods, sit, stoop, bend, and perform tasks requiring manual dexterity

  • Ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds (as verified by a pre-employment physical)

  • Must pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check

MUST HAVE:

  • Associate degree and 2–4 years of relevant experience

  • Ability to use a CMMS for parts searches and work entry

  • Experience designing and troubleshooting electrical, PLC, and electronic control circuits

  • Experience troubleshooting hydraulic and pneumatic systems

  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and blueprints

  • Knowledge of electrical power and water distribution systems

  • Ability to perform mechanical repairs

  • Experience interpreting blueprints and working from sketches or verbal instructions
