Qualifications

  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience.
  • Experience in mechanical engineering applied to heavy industry.
  • Desirable experience in railway design.

Responsibilities

  • Perform space allocation according to Electrical Lead inputs.
  • Maintain Space Allocation Mock-ups in line with maturity rules.
  • Create annotated SAM for exchanges with suppliers.
  • Check compliance of supplier feedback with relevant SAM.
  • Perform 3D detailed design of parts and harnesses.
  • Define interfaces with stakeholders.

Your future role

As Electro-Mechanical Engineer, you will be responsible for performing space allocation based on Electrical Lead inputs and creating and maintaining Space Allocation Mock-ups (SAM) in line with progressive maturity rules, while considering all design constraints. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to complex projects and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams in a dynamic environment.

We’ll look to you for:

  • Performing space allocation according to Electrical Lead inputs
  • Performing and maintaining SAM in accordance with progressive maturity rules considering all constraints
  • Creating annotated SAM for exchanges with suppliers
  • Checking compliancy of supplier’s feedback with relevant SAM
  • Performing 3D detailed design of parts & harnesses
  • Interface definition with stakeholders
  • Manufacturability and maintainability constraints
  • Supporting technical discussions with suppliers to converge on technical definition
  • Performing 2D or annotated 3D detailed design of design make parts considering internal rules
  • Specifying and verifying activities or tasks delegated to Electrical Development Centre

  • Mechanical Engineering preferably applied to heavy industry (including 3D Modelling and drawing creation)
  • Design in railway industry desirable
  • English basics in read/writing and technical meetings
  • CATIA V5 (or similar product) - Trained in Electrical Workbench preferred
  • PLM (Enovia or similar product)
