Job summary

A reputable housing association in Maryport seeks an Electrician to handle electrical repairs, installations, and inspections. This ongoing temporary contract offers the potential for permanent employment after 12 weeks. Ideal candidates will have NVQ level 3, familiarity with IET Wiring Regulations, and prior social housing experience. This role involves fault finding and ensuring effective repairs within housing, alongside regular work hours from 8 AM to 4 PM, Monday to Friday.

Qualifications

  • NVQ level 3 in electrical installation required.
  • Must be familiar with 18th Edition IET Wiring Regulations.
  • 2391 Inspecting and Testing certification needed.

Exciting opportunity for an Electrician to join a reputable leading housing association!

I am looking for an212 electrician to work with an established social housing provider in the Maryport area. This is an ongoing temporary contract with the potential of a permanent contract after 12 weeks.

The successful candidate will carry out electrical repairs, installation, testing and inspection within housing and be responsible for fault finding. You will also have an excellent knowledge to ensure electrical faults are diagnosed and repaired effectively.

Benefits
  • £19.62 PAYE
  • 3 months minimum of work – potentially temporary to permanent
Work Hours
  • Planned maintenance on domestic properties
  • 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM, Monday to Friday – 37 fibres per week
Requirements
  • NVQ level 3 in electrical installation
  • 18th Edition IET Wiring Regulations
  • 2391 Inspecting and Testing
  • AM2 or equivalent
  • Previous social housing / council house maintenance experience
  • Full UK driving license
  • Ability to pass a basic DBS
