Job summary

A leading recruitment agency is seeking an Electrical Engineer to support a NHS Trust in Stevenage. Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Carrying out PPMs and reactive repairs across electrical, plant and building systems.
  • Diagnosing and resolving faults on systems, including alarms, lifts, boilers and more.
  • Ensuring full compliance with Health & Safety legislation.

Our client, a leading NHS Trust in Hertfordshire, is seeking a dedicated and versatile Electrical Engineer to join their team in Stevenage on an initial 6‑month basis.

What you’ll be doing
  • Carrying out PPMs and reactive repairs across electrical, plant and building systems
  • Diagnosing and resolving faults on systems, including alarms, lifts, boilers and more
  • Ensuring full compliance with Health & Safety legislation and Trust policies
  • Supporting multi‑trade work and participating in the emergency on‑call rota
  • Overseeing contractors and assisting in improvement works aligned to HTM/HBN standards
  • Travelling across Trust sites using your own vehicle (mileage paid)
What we’re looking for
  • NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Electrical Installation or Maintenance
  • Strong hands‑on experience with healthcare or commercial electrical systems
  • A proactive, multi‑skilled approach and the ability to work independently
  • Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
  • Willingness to work shifts between 06:30 - 19:00 and be on‑call as part of a rota
  • City and Guilds Level 3 in inspection and testing of electrical installations
