A mechanical and electrical engineering company in Reading is seeking an Electrician. The role includes installation and maintenance of electrical systems in the water sector. Candidates must be 18th Edition qualified and ECS Gold Card holders with strong communication skills. The position offers a competitive hourly rate and additional perks including a van and fuel card.
We are currently recruiting for an Electrician on behalf of a bespoke electrical and mechanical engineering company who manage the complete mechanical engineering process including design, manufacture and commissioning. They mainly work within Water Utilities. Operating over 35 years, they are a family owned organisation who have gained a reputable name within the industry for their high-quality work and excellent customer service. They have a client base which boasts some of the biggest names in the engineering sector. Mainly working within the Waste Water and Clean Water industries they provide a range of services including surveying through to design, fabrication, installation and implementation. As the Electrician you will be working on a range of equipment including pumps, motors, control panels, lights etc. This role will require the ability to effectively liaise with internal staff (both senior and junior) and external clients / contractors in a polite, professional and courteous manner, providing electrical / controls technical support requirements for multiple projects company wide. This is a permanent position covering the Thames Valley area, Working Monday to Friday, 7:30am - 4pm. Perks include Van & Fuel Card, private use of van, door to door travel, overtime, pension, 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays, training & development etc. Starting rate is £20ph but with 2391 (test and inspect) we will do £22ph+ and with a level 4 qualification or good control experience we will do £24-25ph.
