Job summary

A leading engineering manufacturer in North Yorkshire seeks an experienced Electrical Technician to assemble electronic/electrical subassemblies and perform troubleshooting. The role requires knowledge of electrical systems, and experience with production processes, with a preference for ONC in electrical/electronic and IEEE 18th Edition accreditation. This position offers a full-time schedule, Monday to Friday, from 8.30 am to 4.30 pm.

Qualifications

  • Good understanding of electrical/electronic systems is essential.
  • Experience in shop operations is required.
  • Accreditation in IEEE 18th Edition is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble electronic/electrical subassemblies to ISO9001 standards.
  • Wire and solder wiring harnesses and PCB assemblies.
  • Perform troubleshooting and limited computer controlled operations.

Skills

Electrical Technician – North Yorkshire

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Electrical Technician to join a leading manufacturer of advanced systems, based in North Yorkshire.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assemble electronic/electrical subassemblies from schematic diagrams, drawings or verbal instructions and following works order instructions to ISO9001 standards.
  • Wire and solder wiring harness and cable assemblies, PC boards, SMT, transformer assemblies, control consoles, connectors
  • Perform limited troubleshooting and testing of assemblies
  • Perform limited computer controlled operations
  • Ensure assembly/sub-assembly build times are met to maintain department efficiency target of 100%.
About You
  • ONC in electrical/electronic required but is not essential
  • IEEE 18th Edition accreditation preferred.
  • Experience in shop operations
  • Experience with production processes and equipment
  • A good understanding of electrical/electronic systems essential
