Role: Electrical Technician

Location: Birmingham

Salary: Up to £38,000

Start Date: ASAP

We are looking for a skilled and motivated Electrical Technician to join our engineering team. This is a hands‑on role involving the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems and equipment across commercial, industrial, and utility sites.

Key Responsibilities
  • Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems and equipment to industry standards
  • Conduct inspections, testing, and fault finding on electrical systems
  • Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation
  • Work independently or as part of a team to deliver high-quality solutions on time
  • Ensure all work meets health & safety regulations and company procedures
  • Assist with commissioning of electrical systems and equipment
  • Support planned maintenance and preventative maintenance programs
  • Liaise with clients, project managers, and colleagues to ensure smooth project delivery
  • Mentor and support apprentices or junior staff where required
Skills & Experience
  • Recognised electrical qualification (Apprenticeship, ONC, NVQ Level 3, or equivalent)
  • 18th Edition Wiring Regulations certification
  • Practical experience in industrial, commercial, or utility environments
  • Strong fault‑finding and problem‑solving skills
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics
  • Knowledge of low and medium voltage systems, control panels, motors, and related equipment
  • Full UK driving licence
