Job summary

A community-based housing association in Preston is seeking an Electrical Supervisor to ensure high standards of electrical safety and customer service. The role involves assisting the Electrical Manager, supervising technicians, and delivering electrical works efficiently. Candidates should have an NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation and relevant experience in compliance and inspections.

Overview

Electrical Supervisor - Social Housing

Location: Preston

Salary: £42,000

Immediate Start

Role: Temporary (With the opportunity to go permanent)

The organisation is a not-for-profit community-based housing association, set up to meet the housing needs of people in Preston and the surrounding areas. As the largest social housing landlord in the city, they provide a wide range of refurbishment schemes and invest in the quality of improving homes. They are currently have a great opportunity for an Electrical Supervisor role.

Duties
  • To provide a consistently high standard of customer service to all internal and external customers, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction are achieved.
  • To assist the Electrical Manager in the delivery of all electrical works, with responsibility for electrical safety, fire alarm and detection systems, PAT compliance and communication between the organisation and the NICEIC.
  • Assist in the delivery of all work activities to specification, reviewing resource, systems, processes, and equipment to ensure maximum efficiency and effectiveness of the team, ensuring value for money.
  • Co-ordinate and supervise the allocation of work to technicians and contractors with the support of the planning team. Collate performance information to support a robust performance management culture.
  • Ensure high quality periodic inspections, installations and remedial repairs services are delivered in a cost effective, innovative, and safe manner; ensuring KPIs and operational performance targets are delivered in accordance with relevant electrical legislation. This includes undertaking regular QS inspections on completed EICR completed by technicians and ensuring follow on remedial works are logged and delivered to a high standard.
Requirements
  • Experience of operating within a similar role carrying out a wide range of electrical installs, inspections and testing, repairs, and maintenance
  • Experience of working to risk assessed method statements
  • Electrical Compliance experience
  • Worked as a QS for NICEIC or Equivalent Scheme provider
  • NVQ Level 3 Electrical Installation / Maintenance, including AM2.
  • City and Guilds Initial and Periodic Electrical Inspection and Testing certificate (2391) or willingness to achieve on appointment
  • Level 2 & 3 Diploma or Equivalent EAS Qualification
  • Level 3 Award in the requirement for Electrical Installation BS#removed#th Edition
  • A full manual driving licence
