Job description

Electrical Solar Design / Surveyor

Remote / Field Based

£50,000 - £60,000 + Van + Mileage allowance + Bonus + Pension + Progression + Holidays

Are you from a solar design / surveying background, with previous experience designing cable calculations? Do you want to join an industry leading company that are going through a major growth period within the Solar industry, creating lots of career development opportunities.

This company installs commercial Solar PV systems & Solar Powered Car Ports to clients all across the UK from 6kw up to multi-megawatt projects, they are MCS accredited and have an excellent reputation within the industry. They are looking for Commercial Electricians that will help with their increasing workload.

In this role, you will conduct site surveys throughout the UK, evaluating the suitability of commercial buildings for solar installation. You will conduct detailed surveys of electrical systems, document any issues, and prepare an electrical bill of quantities and scope of works for the technical team.

The Role

• Conduct site surveys to evaluate suitability of Solar installations
• Coordinate survey tasks with the technical team ensuring punctual and self-motivated execution of your schedule
• Identify and document any defects or issues that could affect the proposed system, and prepare a comprehensive electrical bill of quantities and scope of works

The Person

• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, installations, and relevant regulations.
• Experience in identifying and assessing defects or issues in Solar PV installation.
• Must hold 18th edition, AM2, NVQ level 3 and a 2391.
