Job description

Overview

Electrical Qualifying Supervisor - Midlands with UK wide travel c£45k. Company van/pickup.

Our client manages the electrical policies, procedures and infrastructure for two large student accommodation portfolios, with approximately 77,000 beds across the UK. They carry out fixed wire testing, board replacements, remedials as well as reactive and planned maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Initially visit site to carry out a pre-start survey, assess the systems on site, and prepare a report.
• As the project progresses, check on engineers against progress and audit works.
• If remedials are required, issue permits to work.
• Typically 2/3 days on site and 2/3 days at home or in the Birmingham office; overnight stays with accommodation and sustenance provided.
• Ensure work aligns with electrical policies and project requirements.

Qualifications & Experience

• Experience in all aspects of the electrical trade, qualified to NICEIC Qualifying Supervisor Level and preferably have been an LVAP or HVAP.
• Knowledge and experience of delivering domestic/commercial electrical work including emergency lighting.
• JIB Managers/Gold Card.
• 18th Edition.
• C&G Part 1 and 2.
