Job summary

A leading recruitment agency is seeking an Electrical Project Engineer to support projects in the Thames Valley region, focusing on wastewater site upgrades. The role offers hybrid working and involves overseeing MEICA projects, ensuring compliance with project safety and quality standards. Ideal candidates will have electrical engineering qualifications and experience in the water industry. A full driving licence and relevant certifications are also required for this position.

Qualifications

  • Experience in reviewing RAMS and understanding the risks associated with process plant installations.
  • Hold a full driving licence.

Responsibilities

  • Engage with workforce on Health, Safety and Wellbeing matters.
  • Selection of Electrical supply chain and package scope.
  • Supervise work according to method statements and work instructions.
  • Manage MEICA design outputs from design partners.
  • Monitor site progress with MEICA supervisors and engineers.

Electrical Project Engineer - Water

Location: Oxfordshire, Buckinghamshire & Hertfordshire (Hybrid)

Salary Guide: £55,000 - £65,000 Plus Car/Allowance and Excellent Package

Our client is a Tier 1 D&B Contractor operating predominately in the water industry, who are a strategic partner to Thames Water for AMP7 and AMP8 on Capital Frameworks across the Thames Water supply and treatment regions, predominately for non-infrastructure assets.

They are recruiting for an Electrical Project Engineer to support their projects throughout the Thames Valley region with hybrid working available. You will work alongside other Project Engineers to ensure that these MEICA focused projects are delivered in line with the Company's and the Thames Water KPI's. Projects will cover capital projects in wastewater site upgrade and resilience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Engage with the direct and supply chain workforce matters of Health, Safety and Wellbeing, leading by example on leading indicators to promote engagement
  • Selection of Electrical supply chain and package scope based on technical and commercial judgement, in consideration of client frameworks and a willingness to challenge where there is a programme or commercial opportunity
  • Supervise work to ensure that it is carried out in accordance with method statements and work instructions from the project manager
  • Accountability for the review and management of MEICA design outputs from design partners.
  • Work with MEICA site supervisors and commissioning engineers to monitor site progress and check the works are in line with the approved designs.
Skills, Experience and Qualifications
  • Industry experience within water and of electrical plant in wastewater treatment
  • BEng/ ONC/ HNC/ BTEC qualified electrical engineering
  • CSCS card, SSSTS & Confined Spaces
  • Experience in reviewing RAMS and understanding the risks associated with process plant installations
  • Hold a full driving licence
