Job description

I am recruiting an experienced Electrical Manager to oversee a Domestic Electrical Division for a maintenance contractor. You’ll manage a team of up to 20 electricians and subcontractors, ensuring safe, compliant, and high-quality electrical services across Cornwall.

Duties will include:

  • Lead and manage all electrical projects: EICR, remedial work, rewires, smoke/CO alarms, and renewable energy installations
  • Ensure compliance, quality, and safety across all works
  • Maintain workflow forecasts and revenue targets for the Electrical Department
  • Support skill development and continuous training for staff
  • Supervise supervisors, surveyors, and quality control engineers
  • Conduct team meetings and briefings to keep staff aligned and engaged
  • Handle client escalations, technical issues, cost control, and invoicing
  • Ensure accurate pricing, certification, and project documentation
  • Deliver monthly Tool Box Talks (TBT) for engineers and supervisors
  • Provide weekly reports to the Head of Heating & Electrical

Skills & Qualifications:

  • NVQ Level 3 in Electrical installations, AM2 certification
  • 18th Edition Wiring Regulations
  • 2391 inspection & testing or equivalent
  • Experience using PDAs/digital reporting systems
  • Strong leadership, professionalism, and flexible approach to work

Experience Required:

  • Proven experience in managing electrical teams
  • Background in social housing electrical installations and maintenance
  • Familiarity with CRM or management systems
  • Clean UK driving licence and DBS check
