Overview

The Flavour Network are excited to be partnered with a well-established food manufacturing business in Northamptonshire to recruit an Electrical Maintenance Engineer. This is a fantastic opportunity to join an established company that prides itself on quality, reliability, and customer satisfaction. As the Electrical Maintenance Engineer, you will be part of the maintenance team and play a key role in keeping production equipment running efficiently and safely, ensuring minimal downtime and supporting smooth day-to-day operations.

Responsibilities
  • Diagnose and repair electrical faults across production machinery and systems
  • Carry out both planned and reactive maintenance to minimise downtime
  • Maintain accurate records of inspections and maintenance activities
  • Support and develop preventative maintenance schedules
  • Collaborate with team members and external contractors
  • Install and test new electrical components and systems
  • Respond to emergency breakdowns and unplanned repairs
  • Conduct annual servicing and inspections
  • Manage tools, parts, and supply inventory
  • Supervise external contractors when required
  • Ensure compliance with hygiene standards and HACCP protocols
Qualifications
  • Proven experience in electrical maintenance within a manufacturing environment
  • Recognised electrical qualifications (e.g., NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds)
  • Ability to work in cold environments (PPE provided)
  • Experience with food production machinery, such as: Multi Vac systems and scanners / Slicing machines (manual, VSI, Weber) / Labelling equipment / compressors, cookers, boilers / Vacuum sealing and meat injection machines / Glycol chillers
