Overview

Electrical Fitter – Machine Building - £38K - 4 Day Week - Leeds. Leeds, West Yorkshire (commutable from Bradford, Wakefield, Huddersfield, Halifax, etc.). 4-Day Week – Monday to Thursday. £38,000pa + Paid Overtime & Additional Allowances.

The Role

This isn’t just about connecting cables - you’ll be building complex bespoke machines where your electrical expertise ensures safe, reliable and efficient operation.

You’ll be hands-on in fitting, wiring, and testing control systems, making sure every build meets exacting standards of quality and compliance.

What You’ll Do
  • Install and wire electrical systems for bespoke machinery from the ground up
  • Work with control panels, sensors, motors, drives, relays, etc
  • Read and interpret complex electrical drawings, wiring diagrams and schematics
  • Carry out functional and continuity testing to ensure everything works first time
  • Collaborate with mechanical fitters to deliver complete machine builds to the highest standards
  • Occasionally support machine installations on site
What We’re Looking For
  • Proven experience in electrical fitting, machine wiring or panel building
  • Strong practical knowledge of industrial electrical systems (motors, drives, sensors, safety circuits)
  • Ability to read and work from electrical schematics and technical drawings
  • Awareness of electrical safety regulations and standards
  • Quality-focused with a “right first time” approach
