About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Building Services Maintenance Engineer (Electrical) to join a well-established estates and facilities team for a lovely college in South East London. You will be responsible for the maintenance, repair, and compliance of electrical systems across multiple sites. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic environment, carrying out both planned preventive maintenance (PPM) and reactive repairs, while ensuring full compliance with statutory regulations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Carry out PPM and reactive maintenance on electrical systems including lighting, distribution boards, control panels, and emergency systems.
  • Diagnose and resolve electrical faults quickly and effectively to minimise downtime.
  • Conduct statutory inspection and testing in line with BS7671 (18th Edition Wiring Regulations).
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records, asset registers, and compliance documentation.
  • Manage and supervise external contractors, ensuring safe and high-quality delivery of works.
  • Support wider estates operations as part of a multi-skilled maintenance team.
  • Respond to emergency breakdowns and occasional out-of-hours call-outs.
