Overview

Electrical & Controls Engineer – Milton Keynes – Days

£58,000 + Overtime + Benefits. We are looking for a motivated Electrical & Controls Engineer to join a market leading manufacturer in their respective field. Reporting directly to the engineering manager you will be a key member in ensuring the production facility is kept running. You will be involved in all aspects of electrical work, automation and controls within their operation. With progressive training and development this company is always looking to enhance its employees and their skill sets, whilst additionally being supported by a welcoming team of engineers. The position will appeal to a strong engineer looking for their next challenging role within in a secure and stable company.

Responsibilities
  • Acting as the site\'s Electrical Duty Holder, ensuring compliance with all statutory requirements.
  • Leading troubleshooting and continuous improvement of electrical and control systems.
  • Designing, programming, and fault-finding PLCs, HMIs, AC drives, and servo controls.
  • Coaching and mentoring engineers in electrical fault-finding and controls.
  • Managing technical documentation and standardising control components across the site.
Qualifications
  • Time-served apprenticeship with HNC or equivalent.
  • Strong electrical knowledge, ideally with 18th Edition certification.
  • Proven experience in automation and controls within a manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to write and troubleshoot PLC and HMI code.
  • A proactive, self-starting mindset with strong problem-solving skills.
