Qualifications

  • Candidates must be able to achieve and maintain Counter Terrorist Check (CTC) security clearance.
  • Experience in the nuclear industry or other regulated industries is preferred.

Overview

This is a full-time, onsite role based at Heysham 2 Power Station, near Morecambe, Lancashire, working 37 hours per week.

Responsibilities
  • Apply high standards to fuel route work preparation and execution
  • Provide technical fault finding, reporting and operational oversight
  • Advise stakeholders including Senior Leadership, Operations and Engineering teams
  • Prepare and execute fuel route work in line with safety policies
  • Ensure compliance with site licence requirements and statutory regulations
Experience and Qualifications
  • Working with industrial control systems (PLCs, SCADA, HMIs, drives, analogue systems)
  • Delivering engineered solutions using electrical control equipment and instrumentation
  • Fault finding and resolving engineering issues in a safe and effective manner
  • Experience in nuclear or other regulated industries (e.g. petrochemical, pharmaceutical)
  • Understanding of legislation, ACOP, Safe Systems of Work and industry standards
  • Engineering degree in a relevant discipline (preferred)
