Overview

Job Title: Electrical Field Service Engineer 2391 or equivalent

Location: Billington, BB7 9TP

Pay: £16.09 - £18.89 per hour (Overtime paid at 1.5x after 40 hours)

Job Type: Full-time

About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and motivated electrician to join our team. This role offers varied and challenging work, covering everything from EICR testing through to automated gates and industrial installations.

You will need strong technical knowledge, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to deliver high-quality work both independently and as part of a team.

Working Hours
  • Standard: 07:30 - 16:30 (Mon-Thu), 07:30 - 12:30 (Fri)
  • Overtime: Available and paid at 1.5x after 40 hours
Key Responsibilities
  • Carry out EICR testing across varied sites
  • Repair, maintain and install automated gate systems
  • Electrical work in industrial settings (repair, maintenance, installation)
  • Planned Preventive Maintenance (PPM) of machines and equipment
  • PAT testing
  • Working at height when required
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team
Essential Skills & Qualifications
  • City & Guilds Level 3 in Electrical Installation (or equivalent)
  • 17th / 18th Edition IEE Wiring Regulations
  • City & Guilds 2391 (or 2394/2392) Testing & Inspection qualification
  • JIB Gold Card
  • Full UK Driving Licence (minimum 1 year)
  • Minimum 5 years' electrical experience
  • Access to own tools
  • Strong customer service and attention to detail
Desirable Skills (Advantageous but not essential)
  • ICATS / IPAF / PASMA / PTS qualifications

Location Requirement

All work is carried out in the North West. You must be able to travel to and from the Billington base each morning and evening, unless working more than 2 hours from base.
