Application Analyst – MyChart Patient Portal

Cambridge University Hospitals is the first UK hospital to implement the Epic electronic patient record (EPR) system. An opportunity has arisen for an Application Analyst to join the MyChart patient portal team.

This is an exciting and challenging role at the heart of the transformation of clinical and patient services, providing high-quality care supported by a world class electronic patient record system.

Key responsibilities
  • Communicate regularly with patients, clinicians and service managers, listening to and analysing their needs.
  • Modify the Epic system using configuration tools to tailor the system to ensure the patient portal works effectively for patients and staff.
  • Help to test the system thoroughly to ensure it is safe, usable, secure and robust.
  • Provide support to end‑users through regular meetings and the IT Service Desk.
Qualifications and experience
  • Strong technical and analytical capabilities.
  • Enjoy problem solving and understand the nature of modular work in large and complex organisations.
  • Qualified in at least one Epic application (training provided).
  • Basic assessment of literacy, logic and numerical skills.
Training and Accreditation

You will be provided with training to achieve accreditation in the required Epic modules.

Eligibility
  • Full‑time permanent vacancies are not available to individuals on a Student visa unless they have applied for a Graduate visa or a Skilled Worker visa.
  • If you are on a Student visa, ensure you have applied for a Graduate visa before the anticipated start date of employment, or that the Trust has agreed to sponsor you as a Skilled Worker and you will complete your studies within 3 months of the anticipated start date.
