Overview
We are currently recruiting for an experienced EHCP Co-ordinators to join a project team with our client, a local authority, based in the South East. This project team has been created to work through a backlog of EHCP cases (approx 1500). The team will consist of 5 EHCP Co Ordinators, 5 Educational Psychologists and Team Manager. Role is paying up to £350 per day, remote options available but ideally looking for someone who can be in the office 1-2 days per week. 6-12 month project.
Responsibilities
- Manage EHCP Caseload: Oversee a caseload of children and young people with SEND, managing their EHCP journey from initial assessment through statutory processes to finalisation.
- Statutory Compliance: Ensure all statutory requirements and deadlines are met within the EHCP process.
- Liaison and Coordination: Work closely with parents, schools, health and social care professionals, and other partner agencies to ensure coordinated support.
- Meeting Facilitation: Chair meetings and lead annual reviews to track progress and coordinate support.
- Provision Management: Coordinate and monitor the provision of support for students with SEND.
- Case Management: Maintain comprehensive records and manage sensitive information.
- Placement Support: Support families and schools through the school placement process and phase transfers.
Required Skills & Knowledge
- SEND Legislation: A thorough understanding of the SEND Code of Practice and relevant legislation.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective interaction with a range of stakeholders.
- Case Management: Strong organisational and case management skills to handle complex cases and competing priorities.
- Collaboration: A collaborative approach to working with colleagues and external partners to achieve positive outcomes for children and young people.
- IT Skills: Proficiency in using IT systems to maintain accurate records.
- Emotional Intelligence: The ability to handle sensitive information and support families through challenging processes.
