Soulbury Scale A 3-8 (£47,688 – £57,954) and up to 3 SPA points (if applicable).

About the role

This is a post for which the ability to communicate in Welsh is essential (the authority will support any candidate to further develop their Welsh language whilst in post).

We are looking for an educational psychologist to join our happy and enthusiastic team which sits as part of the wider ALN, Inclusion and Wellbeing Service. The Educational Psychology Service is well respected within Schools Services.

The successful candidate will be responsible for undertaking the full range of psychological services within the county to facilitate change, raise standards and ensure educational inclusion. We work closely with our schools and adopt a solution-focused approach in our consultations. We work in a preventative manner, with the freedom to use a range of psychological techniques to make a difference to the pupils.

We welcome applicants who are able to begin immediately and also from students who are currently in Year 3 of their doctoral studies.

To maintain ethical standards, it is essential for the candidate to be registered, and to maintain continued registration, with the HCPC.

An Enhanced Adult and Child DBS check will be required for the above post.
