Education Recruitment Branch Manager (Billing Leader)

Equal Teaching is not your standard agency. We have moved beyond archaic systems (we run on a cutting-edge tech stack), we have thriving Permanent, EdTech, & Partnership divisions, and we have a stronghold in the Welsh education market.

The company was founded 15 years ago on temporary education recruitment (supply staff), and that division is now ready for a new Captain.

We are looking for a Billing Branch Manager or a Senior Consultant ready to step up. We don't need a "caretaker" - we need a driver. We need someone who thrives on the hum of a busy sales floor, who sets the pace at 7:00 am, and who knows that high-volume temp recruitment is a momentum game.

You will have autonomy. Our Directors focus on strategic growth and Perm markets, meaning you won't have someone breathing down your neck (although you will have close support whenever required from an expert senior leadership team). You will have the keys to the division, a team with raw potential, and the mandate to build it in your image.

What You'll Do
  • Lead from the Front: You will run your own billing desk. You set the standard for activity, client visits, and fill rates.
  • Drive the Pace: You are the "Sergeant Major" of standards. You ensure the energy levels are high and the team is motivated to focus on the right commercial activities.
  • Rebuild & Grow: You will inherit a mix of established territories and untapped potential. Your job is to consolidate our "Welsh Medium" and "English Medium" desks into a cohesive, high-performing unit.
  • Mentor: You will develop existing and new talent (we have an ambitious team and want to grow it) and professionalize our approach to candidate & client management.
Who You Are
  • A Proven Recruitment Leader: Ideally, you are an Education Recruitment veteran who knows the Wales landscape. However, we are also open to exceptional Billing Managers from other fast-paced temp sectors who are ready to transfer their skills.
  • Unapologetically Ambitious: You are frustrated by micromanagement or a lack of career headroom in your current role.
  • Thick-Skinned & Resilient: You know that recruitment is a rollercoaster. You don't let a bad day turn into a bad week.
  • A "Doer": You don't manage by spreadsheet; you manage by picking up the phone and showing the team how it's done.
