An educational organisation based in the City of Westminster is seeking a candidate to lead the delivery and evaluation of activities aimed at inspiring young people about nature. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the STEM education sector and be committed to safeguarding principles. This role entails managing two direct reports and ensuring that the Organisation's safeguarding policies are adhered to. Passion for nature and education is essential for success.
Inspiring young people about nature and ensuring their voices are heard is vital to achieve the Society's vision. This role will lead on the delivery and evaluation of Linnean Society activities for young people within the wider Engagement team while our Education Manager is on parental leave.
The successful candidate will have excellent knowledge of the STEM education sector. They will be inspired by the aims and purpose of the organisation, and they will be motivated to inspire young people about nature.
The post-holder will lead the delivery and evaluation of Linnean Society activities for young people. They will be an important part of the organisation's safeguarding culture, acting as Designated Safeguarding Officer and ensuring our Safeguarding Policy is followed and visible to staff and visitors. They will line manage two direct reports, the Engagement Officer and Nature Networks Project Manager.
