Education Lead for Clinical Specialty Services

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Education Lead post within Clinical Speciality Services (CSS). This post is based in the Education Team which is part of the Education and Research Directorate at DBTH.

This role is instrumental in working with the Head of Education- Practice Learning and Divisional colleagues in identifying and implementing action plans, education/training pathways, frameworks or learning programmes across the Division whilst measuring and monitoring outcomes to ensure the workforce is skilled to deliver the service.

Main duties of the job
  • Working with the Head of Education to ensure the provision of high-quality training and education throughout the Division of Clinical Specialty Services (CSS)
  • The Division Education Lead will contribute towards ensuring that the educational policies and strategies support workforce planning and development.
  • Provide advice, guidance and support to all staff within the designated Division on training and education issues.
  • Lead on the training and education for a range of staff on specific areas of education including SET (aligned to the core skills framework), professional and practice development, vocational development and healthcare skills and safety.
  • To make a collective contribution to the Education & Research Directorate function.
  • To participate in the regular networking events to ensure information is disseminated and lessons are learnt across the organisation and consult regularly with the Division senior management.
  • Support the Head of Education in implementing action plans whilst measuring & monitoring outcomes.
  • Provide operational leadership and deputise for the Head of Education.
