Job summary

A local government authority in the UK is looking for dedicated social workers to join the Families Together Team. Qualifications

  • Appropriate social work professional qualification such as MA, DipSW or CQSW.
  • Preference is Level 3 or above Social Work experience.
  • Knowledge of the complexity of vulnerabilities and risks that young people experience.
  • Energetic and enthusiastic social worker with passion for practice.
  • Evidence skills and knowledge of creative, innovative social work.
  • Confident in relationship-based social work and understanding of Signs of Safety methodology.
  • In-depth understanding of trauma-informed practice.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct Child and Family Assessments.
  • Perform section 47 inquiries when necessary.
  • Support Child in Need and care processes.
  • Work alongside a Family Intervention Worker.
  • Hold a reduced caseload and receive regular supervision.

Skills

Social work qualification (MA, DipSW, CQSW)
Experience in statutory child safeguarding
Knowledge of vulnerabilities and risks
Enthusiastic and energetic communication
Creative, innovative social work
Understanding of trauma-informed practice
