Department

The Technology team exists to support the firm in operating its business. The Technology team and Technology Systems are fundamental to the firm's business and must support the firm in achieving its strategic objectives : but the Technology Systems, and particularly the Technology Department, also must reflect the way the firm wishes to be seen by clients and other third parties and wishes to treat all its staff.

Within the wider Technology group, the mission of the Travers Smith Legal Technology team is to transform the process of law using innovative technology. We are building services that allow our lawyers to work more efficiently. Our goal is to build one of the best legal tech practices in the world

The Role

The Travers Smith eData team, part of the Technology Team, are partnered with the departments : Dispute Resolution, Competition, Employment and Commercial, Technology and IP, supports tasks pre, during and post the disclosure processes (including advisory and technical working) on a variety of complex matters.

We are seeking an entry-to-mid-level eData Project Co‑ordinator with hands‑on experience in Relativity. This role requires the individual to provide technical expertise and project support across the eDisclosure lifecycle, working alongside legal teams, clients, and technology providers.

This role is hybrid; however, this role requires the individual to attend the office a minimum of three days a week.

The successful candidate will report to the eData Team Leader and work part of the eData team, with the Team Leader having responsibility for planning the role and allocating work, according to precise requirements of the various live and new matters.

Key Responsibilities
Project Co‑ordination and Support
  • Provide frontline technical assistance addressing queries, managing data, and resolving technical issues on live matters including the handling of small to medium matters with varying data and workflow requirements.
  • Co‑ordinate projects using both conventional and AI‑powered tools, ensuring timely and accurate project delivery.
  • Serve as a link between legal teams, external vendors, and external stakeholders, ensuring clear communication and precise expectation of project requirements including debrief meeting for cases, creation of disclosures or vendor support.
  • Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date case notes, workflow documentation, and technical records for compliance, handover, and knowledge transfer.
Innovation & Process Improvement
  • Actively support the adoption and optimisation of AI‑powered workflows (e.g., Relativity AIR, Everlaw AI Assistant) and contribute to continuous improvement of legal tech solutions.
  • Evaluate, test, and assist with the implementation of emerging technologies or automation within legal technology and where appropriate, help develop best practice guidelines for their use.
  • Demonstrate a strong understanding of the legal rules and frameworks governing document disclosure, data protection requirements (Including GDPR).
Training, Quality Assurance & Knowledge Sharing
  • Maintain hands‑on experience with industry‑standard eDiscovery platforms and artificial intelligence tools, engaging in both internal and external learning opportunities.
  • Lead or assist in designing, updating, and delivering training sessions on key technologies supporting legal and technology teams (e.g. Document Review Platforms and related eData tools).

Personal Specification - Experience, Knowledge & Skills
  • Minimum 1-2 years of hands‑on Relativity experience, supporting live eDisclosure / eDiscovery projects (applications should include specific examples of Relativity use).
  • Familiarity with at least one other review platform (e.g., Axcelerate, Nuix Discover, Everlaw, DISCO); AI / analytics exposure is highly desirable.
  • Experience supporting the full eDisclosure lifecycle in a law firm, consultancy, or professional services environment.
  • Good data manipulation, documentation, and organisational skills.
  • Good understanding of data management and GDPR requirements.
  • Strong communication skills, with ability to translate technical information for legal and non‑technical audiences.
  • Demonstrable interest in legal technology innovation and AI‑driven workflows.

We are excited to be moving from our London headquarters in Snow Hill, to a brand‑new building in the City - Stonecutter Court. The move is expected to take place in early 2026.
