Overview

KGH provides 24 hour accident and emergency services (A&E) from our Emergency Department (ED) and supports the treatment of patients presenting with minor, major and traumatic injuries. The Emergency Department is a supportive and friendly team who prides itself on providing the highest possible quality of care to our service users. If a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check is required for the role, you will be asked to pay the DBS cost (£49.50) and this cost will be reclaimed from your first salary. From 1 February 2019 all new starters are required to join the DBS update service with an annual cost of £16; those who do not join the update service will pay £49.50 for a new DBS check in three years’ time. New starters are subject to a six month probationary period.

An opportunity has arisen for a position within the Emergency Department (ED) as a Patient Co-ordinator joining our supportive and friendly team. The vacancy involves working a shift pattern that covers a variety of shifts, including days, nights, evenings and weekends. We are seeking an individual who is flexible, with excellent interpersonal skills, the ability to work under pressure in a busy department, and who can maintain a high standard of efficiency. Previous ED experience is not essential as full training will be provided. Previous applicants need not apply.
