In this role, the successful Environmental Advisor/Consultant/Ecologist will be responsible for implementing the environmental element of the compliance management system, including environmental policies, risk assessments, procedures, guidance notes and more, and will communicate these effectively to key internal and external stakeholders and other areas. Other key areas include the sustainability strategy, focusing on activities in the workplace, marketplace and community.

The ideal Environmental Advisor/Consultant/Ecologist or similar must be local to Glasgow or willing to relocate to the area and be eager to join a large global engineering and defence business.

The Role

• Provide specialist advice on sustainability and environmental legislative and contractual compliance for the project.
• Manage the project's Environmental Management Plan, Emergency Response Plan, Environmental Risk Profile and Aspects and Impact register.
• Develop within the environmental management platform a project specific Environment and Sustainability Threats and Opportunities profile.
• Implement and continuously improve the compliance management system to the ISO 14001 standard for the site.
• More responsibilities as required.
• Training, development, and progression opportunities.
• 35 hour week

The Person

• Local to Glasgow or moving to the area.
• Happy to work occasional nights/weekends with time back in the week.
• Travel to relevant sites as/when required (travel is covered).
