Job DescriptionAre you an experienced EC&I Designer looking for a challenging role in a high‑profile defence project? We are supporting our client on the critical upgrade of Frequency Changer motor‑generator sets to ensure reliable power conversion for berthed naval vessels and associated support services.

The existing FC control systems have been installed for circa 30 years, and as such obsolescence issues are now arising. The design has been through concept and scheme phases and is now in the final detailed design phase.

Your missions:

  • Retrofit the FC Local Control Panels (LCPs) with modern excitation and control equipment
  • Replace the existing FC Remote Control Desk (RCD) with a SCADA based RCD
  • Renew the FC Motor & Generator Instrumentation
  • Install Partial Discharge (PD) Monitoring System for the FC Motor & Generator stator windings

  • Experience reading containment drawings and models
  • Experience using AutoCAD, Inventor, and Vault is essential
  • Experience using AutoCAD Electrical and EPLAN is desirable
