About the role

Connex education is working with a Primary school in the Middlesbrough area who are looking to recruit an experienced EYFS (Early Years Foundation Stage) teacher. To join the team to help support and cover lessons in reception classes. This role is to start in January 2026 and will be a full time role 5 days (Mon – Fri). As a requirement for this role we are looking for someone who is available full time and has at least 3 years experience in EYFS teaching or leading an EYFS provision.

Assignment Details

As part of this role you will plan and deliver an engaging, play-based EYFS curriculum following the Early Years Foundation Stage framework. As well as create a nurturing learning environment for Reception pupils (ages 4-5). You will also Observe, assess and record each child’s development and learning needs.

Person Specification
  • Qualified Teaching Status
  • Have experience of teaching pupils in a primary school setting
  • Be confident covering and teaching a full classroom
  • Good Knowledge of EYFS curriculum
  • Have a current DBS on the update service or willing to apply for a new one with Connex
